The European Policy Ceramics Forum (EPCF) will take place on 2 December, at the European Parliament, in the context of the 2025 European Ceramic Days.
The European Ceramic Days is an annual event that brings together high-level representatives of the European Ceramic Industry with officials and policymakers from national and EU authorities. Every year we welcome high-level speakers and representatives from the European Commission, Member States and Members of the European Parliament, to discuss policy topics that directly impact the European ceramic industry.
The EPCF has been an informal group in the European Parliament since 1994, providing a platform for exchange of views between MEPs, EU officials, ceramic industry representatives, and trade unions on all policy matters relevant to the ceramic industry and its numerous strategic value chains.
This year’s Ceramic Days will be dedicated to “Ceramics: Building a Sustainable Europe and Greener World”. The 31st EPCF Plenary Meeting will notably focus on competitiveness. The event will start with the presentation by high-level executives of 2 case studies under the topic “Strengthening Europe through a competitive ceramic industry”. Case study 1 on Durable, circular and innovative ceramics for a sustainable Europe and low carbon future, and Case study 2 on Current challenges to the competitiveness of the EU ceramic industry.
It will be followed by a Panel debate with high-level representatives of the EU Institutions and experts on How to foster a stable business environment in the current regulatory and geopolitical context, more particularly in the context of a strategic but very heterogeneous sector such as ceramics, highly exposed to the growing cumulated impact of energy, carbon and regulatory costs, while being highly exposed to international trade and largely composed of local energy-intensive industries and SMEs or small mid-cap enterprises (SMCs).
You will find below the detailed Programme of the 31st European Policy Ceramics Forum.
