The EPCF Breakfast Debate took place today at the European Parliament in Brussels, bringing together over 50 participants, including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), European Commission officials, and industry representatives. Hosted by MEP Leire Pajín, on the topic of 'Acting on Environmental Regulation and the Global Competition Challenge with Non-EU Countries.'
Speakers included MEP Radan Kanev, member of the ENVI Committee, Mauro Rullo, Sustainability and Climate Policy Manager at Confindustria Ceramica, and Bernard O’Connor, Chair of the Trade Defence Working Group at AEGIS Europe.
The debate reaffirmed the European Parliament Ceramics Forum (EPCF) as a platform for dialogue between EU institutions and the industry, which supports over 200,000 direct jobs and maintains a €5.8 billion trade surplus.
